May Peterson

Mrs. Peterson dies at age 61. Mrs. May L. Peterson of Rock Island died at 4;15 o'clock this morning in Milan General Hopsital wjhere she had been a patient on ill health for nine years, and seriouisly ill for the past two years. Mts Peterson was botn Sept 8, 1888 in Savanna, Ill., daughter of Joseph and Hattie Elizabeth Russell Wilder. She moved to Moline with er parents when she was 6 tears old, living there until 16 yrars ago qhen she moed to Rock Island. She atended Moline public schools. She was married March 11, 1904, to Phillip W. Peterson, at the Baptist Church, Rock Island. He died Aug. 8 1939. Also precedding her in death were her father, two sons, a daughter an a brother. She was of Methodist faith. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Hattie M. Wilder, East Moline; six sons, Glenn A., Muscatine, Dean W., and Lester H., Rock Island; Clarence E. Bettendorf; Sargent Ray E. Peterson, Okinawa; and Lee H Peterson, who is at a navy hospital in Wyoming. There are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Cargill, Big Island, and Mrs. Leatha R. Hussong, Rock Island; a sister,  Mrs. Fern Vrowder, Rock Island, five brothers Sherman and Clyde Wilder, California; William Wolder, Minneapolis; and son Orin and Monie wilder, Moline; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'cock Saturday afternoon at the Larson funeral home, Milan, with the Rev. T.C. Kinne of the Milan Methodsit Church officiating.
