Resided in County for Forty Years; Funeral Services on Sunday.

East Moline, Dec. 3, ---- William Miller, 81 years of age, died at 1 this morning in a Moline hospital. He had undergone a major operation at the hospital and had been ill for several months.
 
Mr. Miller was born on July 11, 1845, in Germany and came to this country in 1885. He settled in this vicinity and had lived in Rock Island county, for forty-one years. He had married in Germany.
 
He was a carpenter by trade but later forsook this occupation and became a farmer. He retired recently. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Hampton.
 
His wife preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter and four sons as follows: Mrs. Annie Anderson of Moline, Charles Miller of Hampton, Emil Miller of Moline, Henry Miller of Silvis and William Miller of Nebraska. Mr. Miller made his home with Charles Miller.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:15 Sunday afternoon in the Wendt funeral parlor in East Moline and later in the Zion Lutheran church of Hampton. The Rev. Mr. Schnaack, pastor of the church will officiate and burial will be in Hampton cemetery.”
