W. B. BOLSTER, 89, SUCCUMBS AFTER ILLNESS

Retired Rock Island Lines Conductor Dies in Hospital: rites pending.

William B. Bolster, 89, of 611 Thirty-fifth street, Rock Island, a retired Rock Island Lines Conductor, died at 11:30 o'clock this morning at St. Anthony's Hospital. He had been ill for about a month.

Mr. Bolster was born May 27, 1861 in Londonderry, VT., and moved to Rock Island in 1909. He married Alice Ware in 1891 in Stuart, IA. He had been employed by the Rock Island Lines for 48 years and was a member of the order of Railroad Conductors. He retired in 1931.

Surviving are the widow; two sons, R.F Bolster of Rock Island and F. W. Bolster of East Moline; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Carroll of Rock Island and Mrs. Lucille Hammerstrom of Jackson, Mich; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A brother, Richard, of Rutland, Vt. also survives. The body was taken to the Esterdahl mortuary, Moline.
