Bertha (Bysinger) Berger

Mrs. Berger, 85, taken by death; rites tomorrow Mrs. Bertha Berger, 85, formerly of Rock Island, died Saturday in Trinity Hospital, Baudette, Minn., following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 tomorrow morning at Wheelan Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Rock Island.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight where the Rosary will be cited at 7. The former Bertha Bysinger was born Sept. 18, 1888, in Rock Island, the daughter of Charles and Mary Imhof.  She received her education in Rock Island. She was married to Joseph August Berger Sept 28, 1909, in Rock Island. He preceded her in death March 5, 1956. She was a member at St. Joseph's Church, and had lived in Baudette since 1972. Surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Lyle E. (Mary Jo) Olson, Baudette; two brothers,  John, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Albert J., Milan; and a sister, Mrs. Grace Tandy, Rock Island.

MRS. BERGER Final rites for Mrs. Bertha Berger, 85, formerly of Rock Island, who died Saturday in Baudette, Minn., were held this morning at the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island.  The Rev. Heinc Ciesielski, pastor of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, officiated, and burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Pallbearers were Greg Bateman, Randy Woloski, Bill Ezard, Charles Dietz, and Dick and Dean Mayne.
