Daisy May Wait

Mrs. Harry O. Stewart, 79, of Viceroy, Sask., Canada, daughter of one of the original settlers of the village of Reynolds, died yesterday at Excelsior Springs, MO, where she and her husband had been taking health treatments. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Reynolds Methodist church. The Reverend J.C. Gerhart, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Reynolds cemetery. Mrs. Stewart, the former Daisy May Wait, was born May 20, 1868, on a farm near Reynolds, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meigs Wait. Her father helped to found the village of Reynolds. She spent much of her life on the farm until the death of her parents. Shortly thereafter she was married on Nov. 11, 1924, in Viceroy to Mr. Stewart. Surviving are the widower and three brothers, Bert Wait of Houston, Texas, Marion Wait of Taylor Ridge and Dr. Guy F. Wait of Mount Pulaski. Besides the parents, three brothers preceded her in death.
